The New Coffee Shop!

After reading about it and seeing it so often from outside, went there last weekend. I think going there twice in a row was a bit too much.
The first day I loved the ice coffee Amereti with little cookies in and the works.
Second day, I said just get me some ice coffee, something simple and it came with a whole bunch of ice cream dumped inside it. Maybe I should have told no ice cream.
The interior is done up nice and it was crowded. The price is fancy, there was a tiny cupcake priced at 350/- bucks.

The interior is classy. Not sure about how the food is.

Exams are over!

Well not mine obviously but little D's exams are finishing tomorrow and i am so relieved. I probably can sit through the exams in my sleep since my head is swimming with transport systems, fractions, prefixes and combien? ouch actually my head is aching.

Strangely, my shopping mania has been put a stop i have not been to odel in a month i think (oh god i am rehabilitated) or for a coffee in three weeks (has it been that long). Then again i have been mostly house bound due to car being repaired too. I am so looking forward to a weekend in peace at last........

Tomorrow St. Anthonys Feast so have to attend that as well. I think will start off being free in the evenings religiously...

Meeting For Coffee

After many days of postponing meeting up with different set of friends made it last evening to coffee bean. Everyday passing by the place it looks always packed. And packed it was. It is quite expensive but the coffee and desserts are really much better than other places here. The sandwich was nothing much to shout about. There was a young couple making out in one of the sofas. My friends kept turning around and staring at them so much that they left. So if u do end up going to the new coffee spot where everyones running to try the walnut brownie.

The thing with Colombo is I am still to come across a very good coffee (except the one I make at home). There is this five bucks coffee that u get in Chennai. That is the best coffee I have ever had in my life.
